Sauna complex in wellness hotel Grafenstein in South Tyrol

In our wellness hotel in South Tyrol we offer a sauna complex with four relaxing, powerful and generously-sized pools, and the Kneipp pools will really enhance your sauna experience ...

The word sauna comes from Finnish and means literally a room made of wood. Our Finnish sauna is true to the traditional form that has been practiced for centuries. Temperatures are typically between 85 and 88° C with a relatively low humidity of 10 to 30%.

Those who find the classic sauna too dry should try our sanarium. This is a variation on a sauna which is excellent for the circulation with room temperatures between 46 and 60 °C and humidity between 40 and 55%.

Light and colour enhance the feel-good atmosphere in our Turkish baths. The Turkish steam room is typically a heated room with steam and temperatures of around 50° C.

Following the classical sauna tradition, and not least as a result of the ‘wellness trend’, our herbal sauna has recently become more established. Even in Roman times the relaxing effect of hot steam was known to works wonders for the hair, skin and respiratory organs. The ideal conditions for physical regeneration are found at a temperature of 40 to 50° C and a humidity of around 100%.
