Travelling to Schenna by car is already the first part of your holiday. A drive through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Alpine region heightens anticipation for days of pure relaxation in Schenna. Via the Brenner motorway A22 to the Bolzano sud exit, continue towards Merano and take the Sinigo exit, then follow the signs to Schenna to reach us.

From the north, the scenic country road via the Reschenpass is also an attractive option. Please note that due to temporary road closures on the Reschen federal road B180 until the end of 2026, a diversion via Switzerland is required, adding approximately 10 minutes to your journey.

A wide network of public charging stations throughout South Tyrol ensures a carefree journey to Schenna with your electric car. At the hotel, you can conveniently charge at our six charging points, two located in the outdoor car park and four in our garage.

A relaxing stay begins with a comfortable journey. Choosing an environmentally friendly way to travel to Schenna opens up many possibilities, because: you don´t really need your car!

You can send your luggage ahead of time with the Insam Express luggage service directly from your home to our hotel and back again. Once here, you can enjoy excellent mobility options with the Südtirol Guest Pass Schenna, which you receive directly at reception upon arrival.

Using the German railway (Deutsche Bahn), or the Austrian Federal Railways (Österreichische Bundesbahn) and the Swiss Federal Railways (Schweizer Bundesbahn), you travel comfortably to Bolzano. From there, a direct connecting train takes you to Merano railway station. Südtirol Transfer offers shared taxis to bring you directly to our 4-star adults-only Hotel Grafenstein. Alternatively, you can also use the public buses to Schenna.

From 2026, the Schenna Tourist Office will additionally organise a shuttle service from the Bolzano and Merano railway stations directly to your hotel in Schenna.

Meraner Land Express from Munich to Schenna

Between March and November, the Meraner Land Express runs twice weekly (Wednesday and Sunday) directly from Munich to Schenna. Travelling in a modern coach with tour escort, departure is at 2:00 pm, with arrival in Schenna at around 6:30 pm. From Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Dortmund or other cities, ICE or EC trains conveniently take you to Munich in advance.

FlixBus from Germany and Austria

Enjoy daily year-round connections with FlixBus from numerous cities in Germany and Austria via Munich and Innsbruck to Merano.

Südtirol Express from Switzerland to Schenna

Between April and October, the Südtirol Express brings you from Switzerland to Schenna every Saturday.
