Not every winter moment needs speed and momentum. Sometimes slow steps over crunching snow and gentle walking trails in the Meran 2000 ski area are all it takes. Snowshoes can be borrowed free of charge from the hotel, and off you go.
Experience wintery Mediterranean Alpine flair on the promenades of the spa town and along the Waalwege in Merano and the surrounding area. An artistic ice-skating rink in the village centre of Schenna is open from mid-November to mid-January, gifting you winter days full of nostalgia and joie de vivre.
When the magic of Advent settles over the spa town, Merano’s town centre is transformed into a romantic sea of lights. Along the Passer promenade, the traditional wooden chalets of the Meraner Weihnacht welcome visitors.
